Sorry all, this is the corrected video with the background audio included. Randomised Gaming takes a look at just one of the many poor PAL conversions there are on PlayStation 2. This is Metal Slug Anthology a PSP port for PS2. This collection was far from perfect, made all the more worse in Europe with a 50Hz only release with no 480i or 480p support. On the face of it Metal Slug 1,2,X,3,4,5 and 6 in one collection if a dream come true for gamers across the world. The result is versions of the games running slower that the arcade originals and with additional input lag and some odd graphics issues. On top of in-game loading and features like the “How to play” scene from the Neo Geo arcade removed with no way to add them in via options. This PAL release isn't that common, but buyers be warned, this is one port to avoid. Released on PS4 as part of the PS2 classics range, that version has the same lag issues and instead users should buy the arcade archives releases on PS4 instead, which are far better. Riven provides the commentary on this one and quick note from him “ I should have mentioned Terminal Reality did the porting in this shocker and On PS2 you are better offer buying the single releases of Metal Slug 3,4,5 & 6, followed by 1 and X on PS1. Also known as: Metal Slug Complete / メタルスラッグコンプリート (Japan) Release: 2007 Developer: Terminal Reality & SNK Playmore / SNKプレイモア Publisher: Ignition Entertainment (Europe) SNK Playmore (Rest of world) Format: Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) / プレイステーション2 Metal Slug Anthology was also released on Nintendo Wii, PlayStation Portable and is also on PS4. The PlayStation 2 and PS4 releases should be avoided in PAL.
