Jesus reminds us that what we think we see and think we think is not true vision or true thought, but rather illusions created by the ego. Since ideas never leave their source, our real thoughts remain in the Mind of God, unchanged and eternal. The Holy Spirit safeguards these thoughts, guiding us to let go of false perceptions and rediscover the truth. To practice, Jesus asks us to quiet our minds, move past unreal thoughts, and seek the real thoughts we share with God. Though the ego resists this, fearing the loss of its identity, Jesus assures us that beyond the confusion and fear lies only love, peace, and oneness. By recognizing the holiness of our minds and practicing gratitude for the thoughts we share with God, we take a real step toward remembering who we truly are.
