McDermott is undertaking the engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, load-out and sea fastening of the Ayatsil-B Platform for PEMEX Exploracion y Produccion. Design is being undertaken at the McDermott Houston engineering office with fabrication carried out at the company's fabrication facility at Altamira, Mexico utilizing key local infrastructure, equipment and workers. Once completed, the Ayatsil-B platform is expected to weigh approximately 11,650 tonnes. It will be loaded out from the 500-meter long quayside ready to be transported to the offshore installation site in the Bay of Campeche.
