Trip to China with my friends - VLOG - The Great Wall

Our Summer Camp in China with UIBE (University of International Business and Economics). On the second day we went straight to Luanping in a 2-hour ride from our hotel provided by UIBE. There, we visited the Luanping Occupation Technology Educational Center to have a cultural experience. First off, we had a tour in the Puntonghua Museum, since the dialect of the Launping county was used as the primary reference point for the standardizing modern Mandarin; In 1953, the Chinese government dispatched linguists nationwide to find a standard dialect. The dialect spoken in Luanping, a county just outside the Great Wall, was found to be exceptionally "pure" because many Qing officials had moved there in the 15th century, preserving the court's spoken language. Because of that, we had classes to get into the “pure” pronunciation of mandarin, had an experience trying out traditional brushes to write Chinese character strokes, ending the morning with a tea ceremony, as we heard about the history and cultural importance of tea in China, as well as the steps for a traditional Chinese tea-brewing ceremony. We spent the afternoon climbing up and down The Great Wall with a local tour guide provided by UIBE, followed by an amazing lunch at the Jinshanling Great Wall Hotel that UIBE provided for us. That was truly the coldest I’ve ever felt in my entire life, I def wasn’t ready As we got back everybody had their legs dead but me and Olivia still managed to find it in us some energy left for late-night shopping adventures.
