This ancient temple is dedicated to goddess Chinnamastika and considered to be the second largest Shaktipeeth in the world. The temple is very popular for its style of architectural design. The major attraction of this temple is one of the headless statues of goddess Chinnamastika which stands upon the statue of Kamdeo and Rati, on the bed of Lotus. Animal sacrifices are still offered to Maa Chinnamastika everyday. Despite being a lot of blood there but not a single fly seen in the temple. This is said to be that Maa Chinnamastika comes here to visit and fulfill all the wishes of the devotees. This temple attracts devotees from all parts of Jharkhand, West Bengal, Bihar and many foreign tourists due to its natural and religious importance.
