This series launched on ABC in 1984. High production values and a good cast went for naught; the Aaron Spelling production couldn't decide if it wanted to be 'The Love Boat' or 'Hotel'. When it premiered 'Glitter' had a laugh track, like 'Love Boat'. Then the laugh track vanished and it was more like 'Hotel'. After three episodes it went on hiatus as Spelling did a mini-revamp, replacing two cast members in the opening titles (though they remained on the show) and doing a slight remix of the Lalo Schifrin theme. 'Glitter' came back for three more episodes in December, then it was yanked again. It would resurface once more as part of ABC's late-night entertainment line-up. Lalo's theme is pretty good and I wouldn't mind an official release of this show because I have a soft spot for it despite all its problems. 0:00 Original opening titles.
