MADRID TO BARCELONA 2023 | Ultracycling Event by PedAlma

On June 2nd 2023, almost 100 cyclists left Madrid, to complete in unsupported modality the 686 km of road that connects this city with Barcelona. They had 50 hours to manage their stops, rest, hydration, etc ... before reaching the destination. Along the route they were able to pedal through very varied landscapes, rural areas, mountain areas, others almost deserted, finding animals in the middle of the road, ... and together with the changing weather conditions and the hours of pedaling during the night, they will memories hard to forget. Undoubtedly, the stories and anecdotes lived by all the people who decided to leave Madrid to complete the challenge are many and unique. With the documentary we want to show some of these stories to share this unique and unrepeatable experience. ESP El 2 de junio de 2023, casi 100 ciclistas salieron desde Madrid, para completar de manera autosuficiente los 686Km de carretera que separan esta ciudad de Barcelona. Disponían de 50h horas para administrar sus paradas, descanso, hidratación, etc… antes de llegar al destino. A lo largo de la ruta pudieron pedalear a través de paisajes muy variados, zonas rurales, montañosas, otras casi desiertas, encontrándose fauna en medio de la carretera,… y junto con las condiciones meteorológicas cambiantes y las horas de pedaleo durante la noche, dejarán recuerdos difíciles de olvidar. Sin duda, las historias y anécdotas vividas por todas las personas que decidieron salir de Madrid para completar el recorrido, son muchas y únicas.
