The Forced 2025 Google Pixel Update is not Okay

Isn't it a little suspicious that Google would update a phone over a year after their end of support that makes it nearly unusable. No joke, my pixel 4a, that used to last me all day now uses about 1% of charge a minute of use... What are we trying to do here? I've not seen any reports of phones bursting into flames, and it seems to be primarily effecting Pixel 4a phones. Also odd how they are saying they will reimburse $50 cash or $100 credit towards a new phone straight away... Just give me the option to get rid of the update, I'll even sign a waiver of liability if that's what it takes.
