But thanks G-d with the fall of the Iron curtain the resurrection of Jewish Traditions began, and the first Yeshiva was established! Yeshiva “Toras Chaim”. Rav Moshe Soloveichik ztz”l, Rav Itzhak Zilber ztz”l and Rav Moshe Shapiro ztz”l came to Yeshiva regularly to give shiurim and to pray for the returning of the lost souls. Rav Aharon Yehuda Leib Shteinman ztz”l was a spiritual leader of the Yeshiva and devoted much time to it. The efforts of these Torah giants brought great produce. Throughout the 30 years of active work over 3000 graduates of the Yeshiva have transformed the way the Russian Jewish community all over the world looks like. Dayanim, rabbis of countries, cities and communities, leaders of Jewish organizations, lecturers, translators of sacred texts, avreichim, thousands of Torah observant Jews establishing Jewish families and tens of thousands of Jewish kids – all these are the fruits of The Yeshiva “Toras Chaim”! Within 2-3 years the students of “Toras Chaim” reach unprecedented heights in Torah learning and become top students of the most prominent yeshivos in Israel: Mir, Chevron, Wolfson, Or Isroel, Beis Matisyahu and so on. These people didn’t know aleph-bet when they first come to Toras Chaim! It is an open miracle of our times!
