It’s time to update my charging setup. Jaguar decided to remove the facility to limit the car’s state of charge to a certain percentage, and I’ve been using multiple work-arounds since I got the car. I was hoping they would patch it in, but I’ve been told that for whatever reason Jaguar does not want to give us that control. So it’s time to adapt and change my setup. With a dumb untethered charger and an Ohme cable (half price with Octopus), it turns charging to 80% into a simple plug-in and forget process, with everything being managed automatically by the cable.
