The first transit video out of Vancouver Island! Here is a bus ride and tour of one of the most bizarre bus routes I've ridden, BC Transit's 72. Not a lot is known of the route's history, but it can be assumed that it was introduced between the 1950s and 1980s as a long-distance route to serve Sidney, Victoria and the Swartz Bay Termial. What makes the 72 bizarre is its route path. It acts as a regular corridor route in Victoria before transforming into a highway bus, then identifying as a "Community Shuttle" route, before acting as a highway bus to Swartz Bay. The buses running the route are the Alexander Dennis Enviro family, as well as the occasional NovaBus LFS in adverse weather. Enjoy the ride and tour of this bizarre route.
