She noticed that their pitch was lower than the modern concert standard (A=440Hz). This discovery led her to explore A=432Hz — a tuning often associated with natural rhythms, cosmic cycles, and organic resonance. For KUNIKO, this tuning revealed a gentler yet deeper way to convey emotion, especially within Romantic and improvisational expression. About the 432Hz Period-Pitch Modern Piano This piano was specially developed for 432Hz Pianist KUNIKO through extensive research by Hiroshi Takagi, piano producer and specialist in historical period instruments (Recipient of the 2023 Nippon Steel Music Award / CEO of Takagi Klavier Co., Ltd.).
