The Battles of Ore, Nsukka & Midwest|The Nigerian Civil War

The battles of Ore, Nsukka, Ogoja and the mid western region are highlighted in this video. During the Nigerian Civil War (also known as Biafra war) several towns and cities were captured and occupied by both the Nigerian and Biafran forces. The war started with the Nigerian troops capturing and occupying Gakem and Nyanya in Ogoja province as well as part of Nsukka. But in a surprised push the Biafran forces captured the midwestern towns of Asaba, Warri, Sapele, Ugheli, Uromi, Benin and entered Ore in the Western region. After the commander of the S brigade, Victor Banjo, had turned traitor, he withdraw from the midwest without fighting.
