🗓️ July 18, 2023 🕒 10:00 am 🌡️ 15 c Sunny (59°F) I decided to come back and walk again in this area since the last time i walked was cloudy and rainy, i wanted to see how this town looks in summer. I started in Höllriegelskreuth passing through the forest then crossing the bridge into Grünwald. Grünwald is a charming suburban town located in the southern part of Munich, Germany. It is situated about 12 kilometers (approximately 7.5 miles) south of Munich's city center. Grünwald is known for its picturesque landscapes, greenery, and affluent residential areas. Scenic Surroundings: The town is surrounded by beautiful forests, parks, and green spaces, making it an ideal place for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Exclusive Residential Area: Grünwald is considered one of the most prestigious and upscale neighborhoods in the Munich area. It is known for its luxurious homes and estates, attracting wealthy residents and expatriates. Historical Landmarks: Grünwald has a rich history, and visitors can explore several historical landmarks, including the Grünwald Castle (Burg Grünwald) and the Parish Church of St. Peter and St. Paul.
