In 1948, after the foundation of the State of Israel, the Jewish community were expelled from Arab countries. 950,000 Jews became refugees. They lost their properties, synagogues were set on fire and their houses stolen. Expelled as statelessness, they had to live with a Laissez-passer, a document that allowed them to reach the country of destination. This film portrays how Jews were persecuted and managed to rebuild their lives in a new country. Laissez-passer documents one of the greatest exodus in history.
