Amid tensions in Manipur, centre announced a compensation of Rs. 10-10 lakhs to the families of the deceased who lost their lives in the ethnic riots. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is also in the violence-hit state to review the situation. HM Shah held multiple rounds of meetings to bridge the ethnic divide in the northeastern state. Manipur has been witnessing ethnic violence for over a month now.
