[KHI C151 105/106 - Joyride from EW21 Buona Vista to EW20 Commonwealth (+ Arrival Clip)] Date filmed: 23 April 2025 Time of recording: between 0740hrs to 0744hrs Towards: Tampines Train Model: Kawasaki Heavy Industries C151 (GTO-VVVF Variant) Train Run: 326 Depot of Origin: Tuas Depot Final Destination Depot: Tuas Depot Carriage filmed at: 2106 door A4/B4 area (No. 2 end) AM/PM/Full Day: AM Peak Service (from Tuas Depot, Last Round Trip) This video features a Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) C151, trainset 105/106, which is from Tuas Depot (TWD) to serve the East-West Line (EWL) for the AM Rush Hours, from EW21 Buona Vista to EW20 Commonwealth stations, bound for EW1 Pasir Ris. For the entire of the year 2026, I will be uploading backlog KHI C151s videos that I currently have, slowly releasing them day by day for nostagia purposes. Enjoy them while you can! Due to a track point fault near Pasir Ris stations, there was an additional 15 minutes of travel time delay added to commuters' journey in the morning of 23th April 2025, which started close to 7am. A shuttle train was activated to ply to and fro Pasir Ris and Tampines stations, while all Eastbound trains had to either terminate at Tampines or Tanah Merah station to turn around. So happened to have caught a KHI C151 that landed on a Tampines Bound, not something that you will see in your everyday commute. Not sure if this train actually went all the way to Tampines, or got switched to turn around Tanah Merah instead. Either way, cool to see the STARiS v1 and VFD indicate Tampines Bound! Strong Motor can be heard on carriage 2106 door A4/B4 area. Trainset 105/106 has unfortunately been retired from the entire NSEWL network, with it being last seen on 26/9/2025 as Train Run Number (TRN) 436 on the North-South Line (NSL) for the PM Rush Hours, and is currently awaiting for scrapping at Tuas Depot. 📲 Follow me on socials!
