Without a Dream, the people perish. — Proverbs 29:18 — The greatest DREAMS are GOD DREAMS. And GOD DREAMS can change EVERYTHING. GOD DREAMS will go with you into eternity and inevitably make an eternal impact on people’s lives. What is a GOD DREAM? It is a DREAM from God that can only be achieved with God’s help. What does it mean to dream with God? Dream BIG enough that you can’t do it on your own — only with God’s help could it come to pass. CREATE space to hear GOD’S VOICE: put down your phone; listen up; stay at the altar; make sure your dream is in ALIGNMENT with GOD. — IF it’s a God dream it will have GOD’S PEACE. — IF it’s a God dream it will honor God’s WORD. — IF it’s a God dream it will bring GOD GLORY. — IF it’s a God dream it won’t be EASY- it will take WORK. — IF it’s a God dream it will need GOD’S HELP. — IF it’s a God dream it will need a GOD TEAM. — IF it’s a God dream it will have God’s PROVISION. — IF it’s a God dream it will have ADVERSITY. JOSEPH'S BROTHERS grew in hatred and jealousy because of HIS DREAMS before they betrayed him... BEWARE of the SIGNS of HATRED and BETRAYAL: • Resentment towards someone • Refusing to say a kind word • Frustrated with someone’s favor • Believing the Worst • Hardening of the heart towards someone • Jealous of the confidence and spotlight that someone has… Someone else’s confidence just bothers you — Oftentimes people's envy towards you is less about YOU and more about THEM... 6 questions to ask yourself in finding God’s Dream for your life: 1. Am I seeking God? 2. Have I Asked God what His dream is for my life? 3. What has God gifted me to do? 4. What makes my heart sing? (What are you passionate about) 5. What makes breaks my heart? 6. How can I use my gifts, my resources, & my passion to meet the need that is breaking my heart? Dreams need to be protected: • Through prayer • Through discernment (who to tell) • Through your words (know when to speak and when not to- speak life) GUARD the DREAM on the ALTAR Satan attacks, knowing that a "deferred hope makes the heart sick" (Proverbs 13:12), hoping to cause believers to abandon their God-given vision. John 10:10—the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Your dream is under attack! The Dream Stealers: • Delays • Distractions • Discouragement • Disillusionment • Critics • Pain of life • Ingratitude • Complacency • Numbness • Loss of hope The Dream Team: • Encouragers — encourage you in the pursuit of the dream God gave you, and speak life into your dream. • Prayer Partners — Are committed to praying for you and the dream that God put in your heart. Mentors- Give wisdom when needed, are not afraid to challenge you, and help you find the right answers. • Supporters — Are there when the going gets tough. They hold your arms up in battle. These people will even contribute finances or resources to help make the dream happen. Victory Church — every week get here to lean into the Word, faith, worship, prayer, community, and accountability. 1 Peter 1:7 — every dream must be tested. Dreams must be TESTED... • Through the Word • Through Prayer • Through wise counsel —The company you keep has a lot to do with how your dreams are formed and fashioned. • Through adversity — Big destines require BIG character. And character comes from enduring adversity. Greatness is not developed in a day, but DAILY. • GENESIS 37:31–36 — Joseph is pronounced DEAD to his father. No one can comfort someone who’s soul is defeated… JACOB, WHICH COAT WILL YOU CARRY? Inconsolable grief or hope? Despair? Sadness? Worry? Isaiah 61:3, the choice is to exchange the "spirit of heaviness" (despair, mourning, brokenness) for a "garment of praise" While he was crying, the dream was just beginning.
