Come along with us on an exclusive, inside peek at Cedar Point in the middle of winter! Winter Chill Out is a benefit that includes a walking tour of Cedar Point and a behind-the-scenes look at off-season operations. All proceeds from this event benefit A Kid Again, helping thousands of kids living with life-threatening illnesses. Our behind the scenes tour of Cedar Point began at 9:20am with Magnum XL 200 group. First destination on the tour was Jack Aldrich Theater, were we were shown how they seamlessly run live shows. Then we were able to get a very quick look at the sign shop, which is where Magnum XL 200 group quickly ran away from us. (we got lost) After figuring out where to go next, we got to see Maverick tunnel! it would have been even cooler to be able to ride Maverick, but we're fine with just seeing the tunnel. Next, we went on a little walk towards the barnyard, where we finally caught up with Magnum XL 200 group. Then, we got to see the train all tucked away for winter. We wonder what train they have under the wrapping paper, maybe something new? After the train we say Iron Dragons maintenance bay, which is a new stop added to the tour this year. Then after that we wondered over to Sirens Curse maintenance bay. There they showcased the parts of the ride that makes the train safely tilt down to meet the rest of the track. Next up we went to laundry, where they showed how Cedar Point washes, dries, and folds all laundry for Cedar Point hotels. Then we hung out at ride maintenance where they had Top Thrill Two, Millennium Force, Steel Vengeance and others waiting to be fixed up before the new season begins. After ride maintenance we got to eat some delicious lunch. Last but not least, the tour ended with a presentation by Tony Clark. #cedarpoint #amusementpark #rollercoaster #cedarpointdottv
