Interview with Dr Benjamin Domb at ISHA AGM 2024

In this episode of the The Orthopedic Health Nexus, I had the privilege of interviewing Dr Benjamin Domb. He is the founder and medical director of The American Hip Institute (AHI), in Chicago, IL. Dr Domb is a pioneer in the field of hip preservation surgery and particularly hip arthroscopy. He has published extensively on hip arthroscopy and preservation and serves as the chairman of The American Hip Institute Research Foundation (AHIRF). This was recorded while attending the International Society for Hip Arthroscopy (ISHA)-The Hip Preservation Society annual scientific meeting in Washington, DC. We focused on Dr. Domb's journey into the field of hip preservation, the current state of this rapidly growing area of cutting edge Orthopedics and what he sees for future developments. We discuss his general philosophy of this discipline, the role of biologics, "whole human" considerations and how they relate to outcomes, navigated surgery, robotic surgery, how joint preservation compares to total joint replacement and the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Orthopedic surgery.
