Under the hood is AMG’s 4.0L twin-turbo V8, producing 585 hp and 850 Nm of torque, now enhanced with a 48V mild-hybrid system. That’s good for 0-100 km/h in 4,4 seconds and a top speed of up to 220 km/h. Power is sent through a 9-speed automatic, permanent 4MATIC all-wheel drive and triple locking differentials—so it’s just as capable off-road as it is on the streets. For 2025, the G Wagon gains new aerodynamics, a hydraulic AMG Active Ride Control suspension and updated all-terrain driving modes. It offers 241mm ground clearance, 700mm wading depth and a towing capacity of 7,716 lbs, making it one of the most versatile ultra-luxury SUVs. Inside, the cabin blends rugged heritage with modern tech: 12.3-inch dual displays with MBUX, Burmester 3D audio, nappa leather, heated seats, ambient lighting and a new 360-degree camera with an underbody view. Driver assistance includes adaptive cruise, lane-keeping, and blind-spot monitoring. Starting at around 190.000 Euro, the G63 is expensive, thirsty and exclusive, but remains the benchmark when it comes to combining luxury, off-road and performance.
