The incident falls under the jurisdiction of Govindpur Police Station. The matter came to light after the girl’s parents noticed unusual physical changes and sought medical examination, which revealed that she is four months pregnant. Since the survivor is unable to communicate clearly, identifying the perpetrator has become challenging. Police have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) along with rape charges. The investigation is being led by Kuchinda SDPO Pradeep Kumar Dash, but even after four days, the accused remains untraced.
