Beautiful Laprak, The Art of Filmmaking

5 Days in Laprak: Making a Film Above the Clouds . We headed out from Kalanki on January 14th with a crew of five and a big goal: filming our entry for a film festival in the stunning village of Laprak. Over five days, we pushed through some really tough terrain and freezing 1°C weather to capture a story about three sons searching for their father, a plot inspired by real history but told through a fictional lens. It wasn’t easy hiking those high hills with all our gear, but the experience brought us so much closer as a team. One thing that genuinely surprised me was finding such a large, vibrant community of believers and a beautiful church right there in the village, it was a perspective of Laprak I didn’t expect. We made it back to Kathmandu by the 19th, exhausted but so grateful for everything we learned and the memories we made. Editor: Prasanna Lama
