They’ve maintained a strong hometown following, secured repeat festival bookings, sold out an eight-concert matinee series, are featured regularly on community TV (plus a Shaw Spotlight studio special), and perform live on Folk University Radio – where one of their songs is a radio program’s theme. As an independent, self-managed band based on Vancouver Island, they began as small town buskers, travelling the continent and overseas, then rebranding as Awakeneers in 2020.
