Thanks for watching and remember to subscribe: / @sirukkansirukkis //English Recipe for Chendol Ingredients for Chendol: Screwpine Leaves – 4 leaves (cut into pieces) Water – 3 cups Rice Flour – 1 cup Tapioca Starch – 1 tbsp Limewater – 1 tbsp Green Food Colouring Ingredients for Coconut Milk Mixture: Coconut Milk – 1 & 1/2 cup Water – 1/2 cup Salt – a pinch Ingredients for Sugar Mixture: Brown Sugar – 1 cup Palm Sugar – 1 piece Screwpine Leaves – 2 leaves (tied knot) Water – 1/2 cup Method: 1)First, let’s make the sugar mixture. In a pan, add brown sugar, palm sugar, water & screwpine leaves. Turn on the heat & mix till the sugar dissolves, boils & consistency becomes thick. Once thick, remove & keep aside. 2) Secondly, let’s make cendol. In a blender, add cut screwpine leaves & water. Blend finely. Once blend, sieve & pour the mixture into a bowl. Then, add rice flour, tapioca starch & limewater. Mix well & make sure there is no lumps. 3) Then, add some green food colouring & mix again. Transfer the mixture into a pan & turn on the heat. Mix till the mixture thickens & boils. Turn off the heat. Pour the mixture into a squeeze bottle & keep aside. Squeeze the cendol mixture into an ice water bowl & let it set for 15 minutes. 4) Now, let’s make the coconut milk mixture. In a bowl, add coconut milk, water & salt. Mix well & keep aside. 5) Finally, let us assemble the cendol drink. In a bowl, add crushed ice, sugar mixture, cendol & coconut milk mixture. Done!! Enjoy it on a sunny day!
