Hi, I’m Ed Batewell. I make music. Mostly my own, occasionally a cover of someone else. I’m gonna start going live more often, because I’m already making music all the time, and so why not show you all what I’m up to. I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoy making it. And of course, please remember to like and subscribe! You can check out more of my music on YouTube, or on your favorite music platform. YouTube: / @edbatewellmusic Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/user/1212630... Apple Music: / ed-batewell Amazon Music: https://music.amazon.com/artists/B0C2... Here is what I’m using, besides all the guitars and basses: • Drums and synth: Native Instruments Maschine+ and Maschine Jam for the drums and electronic instruments. (It is also the clock source.) • Piano and keys: Casio stage piano (S360) that can use the Maschine’s patches, or just be a stage piano. • Guitar / Bass / Acoustic rig: Line6 HX Stomp provides the amps, cabs, and effects for all the guitars and basses. As for the rest of the pedalboard, it’s Nano+, powered by a Cioks DC-7, and can be carried in one hand. o Polytune mini o Boss GE-7 EQ o a Dimebag Darrell Crybaby Wah o Boss RC-500 Loop Station (which receives MIDI timecode from the Maschine) and loops the stringed instruments. • Vocals: Shure SM-58S, into TC Helicon Voicelive 2. • Front of house: a small Mackie mixer, and stereo out to a Universal Audio Volt 476P into Reaper, where it’s recorded. • Monitor: XVive U4 wireless in-ear system with Sennheiser IEMs. • Broadcast audio: Reaper output is Rearouted to OBS (Open Broadcast System) for the live stream. • Cameras: a Canon T6s with a fisheye Rokinon lens, and a GoPro Hero 10. (The laptop that hosts Reaper has a webcam too, so I threw that in the mix even though it’s terrible video quality.)
