This is a very easy and quick recipe. Now you must be wondering, winter has just started. Why am I making lemon sarbat syrup!! But we all know that lemons are cheaper in winter and are available in abundance. Why not keep the sarbat syrup ready now!! In summer prices of lemon rise too high and we need more sarbat in summer. Kids and also adults many times want limbu satabat. Squeezing out lemon juice, adding sugar and making sarabat is a bit time consuming process. If you keep this syrup ready, you can serve sarabat in a jiffy. So make the syrup now and enjoy the sarbat in summer. I will share 2 methods. You can follow any one of them. So, why not try this syrup? You can try this recipe at home and write to me. Do not forget to like, share and subscribe. Ingredients: Method 1 • 1 cup / 200 gm Sugar • 1/4 cup / 50 ml Water • 1/2 cup / 120 ml Lemon juice • 1/2 tsp Salt Method 2 • 1 cup / 200 gm rock Sugar • 1/2 cup Lemon juice • 1/2 tsp Salt Method: Method 1 • Heat up a pan on medium heat and add sugar and water. • Mix well and cook on high heat for 5 minutes. • When sugar begins to crystalize along the edge of the pan, turn off the gas and check consistency of the syrup. • We need thick consistency syrup. • Let the syrup cool down completely. • Add lemon juice and salt and mix everything well together. • When all the sugar dissolves, lemon sarbat syrup is ready. • Store it in a glass jar in freeze. It has shelf life of about a year. • While making sarbat just add water into the syrup and mix well. • Make sure to shake the bottle well before making sarbat. Method 2 • Blend rock sugar into fine powder in mixer and add lemon juice and salt. • Blend it well together again and lemon sarbat syrup is ready. • You can use battase in place of rock sugar. • Store the syrup in a glass jar in freeze. It has shelf life of about a year.
