Protocols/standards and best practices in the Sign Language Interpreting Profession on a ZOOM or REMOTE format indicate the use of one neutral interpreter's visible and auditory presence in a single cell on the screen, leaving the presenters to speak and sign at their own particular pace. Most often on these virtual meetings/calls, the ACTIVE signer is spotlighted. Due to time, technology, and purpose of this presentation, the Hearing Presenter spoke and simultaneously signed for herself while also providing vocal interpretation for the Deaf Co-Presenter.
