EMDR Tappers App Use the power of bilateral stimulation anywhere with an app that mimics EMDR tappers with sound and animations that mimic eye movement from a lightbar. One of the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) techniques I frequently use with my clients is bilateral stimulation. This technique involves creating stimuli on alternating sides of the body with touch using a device called “tappers”. When my clients could no longer come into my office for counseling due to COVID-19 restrictions, they lost access to my set of tappers. It was then that I decided to create an app that anybody can download that can turn their iPhone and an accompanying Apple Watch (or additional iPhone) into a set of tappers. The EMDR Tappers app is also available on Android devices unlocking the power of bilateral stimulation across all platforms.
