In the final night before freedom, God gave His people a meal—and a promise. As the Israelites marked their doors with the blood of a spotless lamb and were spared from death, God was already pointing ahead to a greater deliverance—one not just from slavery, but from sin, death, and the devil. Nothing about this was a coincidence. Every detail was part of God’s perfect plan of salvation. On the night before His suffering, Jesus eagerly celebrated the Passover and then gave us something new—the Lord’s Supper—where He continues to deliver forgiveness, life, and salvation to His people.
