Chennai Beach - Chennai Egmore new 4th line update | Indian Railways Hello! Friends Here is the new 4th line work update between Chennai Beach and Chennai Egmore. The reason behind this 4th line between Chennai Beach and Chennai Egmore is that the express trains need to be halt at Chennai Beach railway station which starts from Chennai Egmore railway station. Now, by this 4th line construction, the trains which is from Chennai Beach side can go to Chennai Egmore railway station without waiting for the trains from Chennai Egmore to cross. Now there are of 6 lines / tracks between Chennai Beach and Chennai Fort 2 lines for the MRTS Local Trains (Mass Rapid Transit System) 2 lines for the Express / Superfast Express Trains 2 lines for the EMU / Suburban / Local Trains Analysis: Between Chennai Beach and Chennai Fort: Platform works inside the railway station are going on. Track works and Electrification works are completed, Cross Over Line is constructed for the line changing from 4th line to 3rd line or vice-versa near the Chennai Fort railway station and the Foot-Over-Bridge extension works are completed and opened to the public Between Chennai Fort and Chennai Egmore: Some signal cable works are going on and a building is being constructed for signal station or related to it near the Chennai Park railway station, Platform works such as Elevator construction, Tiles construction works are going on inside the Chennai Park railway station.
