Two Class 171s in Southern livery cross the newly automated (at the time of filming) Havensmouth Level Crossing heading for Cooden and Pevensey Bay respectively, passing through the rarely used Normans Bay station on the right in the first clip. This, I believe, were the first images of the new crossing activated on the Internet, as the old crossing equipment were two metal gates that were locked from 11pm-7am by a crossing keeper in a porta-cabin. It was upgraded on the 15th February 2015 to barriers in collaboration with most of the upgrading of the East Coastway Line up to Bexhill. The locals didn't want this upgraded as they said it would make the private road a rat run. It hasn't altered it a bit though. The hoods on some of the lights have been squashed by the lights' blue bags when they were still on and the ramp to the platform on one side is very twisty, quite ironic for wheelchair confined persons. It is not that known if the name was linked to the Normans or not. Since this was shot, one of the barriers has had an additional piece of skirting added to the bottom like in my video of Deganwy because there was a massive gap underneath the barrier for animals or even petty children to squeeze through. Oh, and the lights are now all straight, so don't call any level crossing cruelty helplines now. Bloody morons.
