Thanks a lot to Kris ('The One' / Канал ) from whom I received this nice Master 178. Unlike the Master Combination Lock 175, the 178 has tighter tolerances on the wheels and the decoding tool get deflected when trying to push it in to lift the lever (see videos • (picking 431) Master combination padlock (... and • (picking 472) Great package from 'The One'... . Here I show you a brand new bypass method that works also on the 178 very well. It just needs a little bit widening the gap with a screwdriver and a sheet metal shim can slide in to push on the lever and the lock will open.
