He holds music degrees from Shorter University in Rome, GA and the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University - New Brunswick, NJ. Originally from Georgia, graduate studies brought him to New Jersey in 2012, and he has made a career in the region ever since. Before moving to the region, he served as a staff accompanist for the music department at Shorter (his alma mater) and as organist for the First Presbyterian Church of Dalton, GA; since moving north to attend school at Rutgers, he has served in a capacity of organist and director of music at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church of Monmouth Junction, NJ; Flatbush-Tompkins Congregational Church of Brooklyn, NY; the Church of St. Mark, Brooklyn; and currently, since May 2024, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Abington, PA. Having been active in several chapters of the American Guild of Organists over the years, he is a former Dean of the Brooklyn chapter of that organization. Today’s program makes his first performance at the console of Abington Presbyterian Church, and his second appearance as a recitalist for the Philadelphia AGO chapter’s Tuesday noon recital series.
