Miri | Global Fusion Dining | Miramar, Panjim Hotel Sunheads, St. Mary's Colony, lane no 3, Nalanda Colony, Miramar, Panaji, Goa 07262875768 Google Maps location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/Y2jmb5XfXAsnT... Costs we paid: African thali veg Rs 399, Eastern thali mutton Rs 899, Seafood thali Rs 699, papad Rs 70, Hot Guava margarita/Imli cocktail Rs 390, Mango mama cocktail/Imli cocktail Rs 390 Hi guys, good morning. I’m on my way to Panjim with Jaya and Maria. Jaya wants to eat something different for a change, so we’re going to a place called Miri which I saw in Google has very different kind of thalis, not like Goan and also other kinds of fusion foods so hopefully Jaya will find the different something that she is looking for and I will find a nice different thali So we are here at Miri Modern Kitchen and Bar. Don’t ask us how we got here because there was such bad traffic in Panjim. We’ll drop the Google Maps location but I can tell you it’s right opposite Stella Maria Society. Fermino Apartments You saw the signs for Africa, Korea, Mongolia etc outside the restaurant. So we are intrigued to see what other countries’ food we’ll find at Miri Miri has a nice cool, modern look. Miri is not a very big space, but it’s nicely done up Jaya and Maria are checking out the menu and Jaya is very impressed by this idea that they have thalis from different parts of the world. It’s a brilliant idea so you can taste different-different things These are the four international thalis that Jaya is so excited about - African, Asian, Seafood and Eastern. Definitely this is something unique in Goa and it’s interesting to see thalis that are so different So Jaya had the African thali (veg Rs 399). Maria has the Eastern thali, with mutton (Rs 899) and I had the Seafood Thali (Rs 699) Jaya and Maria had guava and tamarind-based cocktails and enjoyed them a lot My Seafood Thali (Rs 699) has squid chilli, Sri Lankan curry, Greek salad, lachcha paratha, kingfish fry, English fish fingers, tender coconut serradura, fries and rice Maria’s Eastern Thali in mutton (Rs 899) has salad, kala bhuna mutton gravy, falafel with dip, Eastern mutton shank, chicken kabsa, hummus, Persian Mahalabia dessert and kabsa rice Jaya’s African thali (Rs 399) has African tomato gravy, African sauteed corn, Persian Mahalabia dessert, lachcha paratha, African peri peri paneer, African spicy salad, African kuku pakka gravy, peri peri dip and butter garlic rice So Jaya was happy that we decided to go try something new. It was a brilliant idea to have these thalis from around the world. What an innovative idea. She had the African thali, which was delicious. The cocktails were out of this world. The coconut-flavoured serradura was very interesting. So she would highly recommend Miri to everyone Maria had the Eastern thali which was very, very tasty. And the cocktails were too good. And she also recommends everybody enjoy their meal at Miri That was a lovely lunch in Miri though it was followed by a quite lengthy shopping tour by Jaya and Maria which left me a little fed up in the afternoon sun The food we had today was lovely. It was very different to what we’re used to having. The Sri Lankan fish curry on my seafood platter was lovely. The squid masala was so different. I was confused at first because I could not see the squid, but they had chopped it up in tiny bits. Very, very tasty squid chilli. Nothing like Goan chilli fry. The fish finger was nice. It’s the usual British fish and chips. And also the kingfish fry, I don’t know what masala they put. It’s certainly not the rechead masala which we’re used to. It was something very different and very tasty. And I really liked the tender coconut serradura which was a part of this seafood thali The food was around Rs 2,000 for 3 of us for those 3 thalis. And while it is not cheap, it’s not too bad also and you don’t have to order dessert separately because the thalis come alongwith it And also I found Miri to generally be a very fun, cool kind of place to hang out. I really liked the ambience. So I’ll definitely go back there Enjoy life, guys. Take care Music by: https://www.epidemicsound.com/
