Todays installment brings me to the public sidewalks outside this LDS house of worship, where I exercised my freedom to record with my cameras. Before the folks began arriving, I noticed a synagogue across the street that was most likely being utilized by another congregation, as most if not all of the synagogues I've recorded outside typically gather for worship on Friday evenings or Saturday mornings. Almost immediately, a couple of guys outside the synagogue began recording me as we engaged in a camback stand-off for almost two minutes. Finally, a woman came out & spoke briefly with the cambacker & they both walked away without incident. I returned to record outside the LDS church as folks there were finally beginning to arrive. I had a couple of points of contact as parishioners were walking towards the entrance. One guy asked what I was doing , then said what I was doing was fun for me & he said, "I know you guys." I'm guessing he might have encountered other 1A activists/videographers in the past. He came back out a few minutes later to document who I was & I quickly turned my camera angle around to get a selfie with him, although he didn't seem to want to participate. Some time passed as more folks arrived with friendly greetings towards me & of course, I returned the kind gestures with a friendly hello. One gal who just got out of her vehicle without saying hello, the first thing out of her mouth was, "What's your problem?" She said that she goes to church every Sunday & had never seen anyone outside the church recording. I told her that her apparent negative attitude didn't seem becoming of someone practicing their faith. She went inside without further contact.
