On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), by noon, gold was trading higher by more than 100 rupees and silver by more than 4,000 rupees. Meanwhile, their trading had started with a decline on Thursday morning. After 11 AM, both metals made a tremendous jump. On Thursday afternoon at 2 PM, April delivery gold rose by 71 rupees per 10 grams to 161,860 rupees. Meanwhile, May delivery silver was trading at 273,160 rupees per kilogram, up by 4,669 rupees. By this time, gold had gained around 1,200 rupees during the trading session.
