Maybe it’s the unique design, or maybe it’s the nostalgia, but i’ve always thought favorably of the iPhone 5C. Originally released in 2013 the iPhone 5C was marketed as apple’s first budget iPhone. The budget price was supposedly going to let apple into the lucrative Chinese market, though that never even came close to happening. Apple’s asking price was $549 for the iPhone 5C, just $100 less than the newly released flagship iPhone 5S. So you can begin to see what the issue was, it was just too expensive for budget minded customers. Thankfully, nowadays price deterioration has hit this iPhone extra hard in particular, so you can find it for round $40-60. So that’s where I’ll be focusing on today, this iPhone’s place in the market as a budget used option in 2018. Let’s start with the design, you’ll either love it or hate it. Apple chose a plastic design to cut costs, and to many people it looks and feels cheap. In my opinion, the plastic feels as premium as plastic can get. It’s smooth, has some heft, and much more durable than it’s aluminium counterpart. On the other side of the phone lies the 4” Sub-HD display. Colour wise it looks alright, and the resolution is fine considering the pixel density. Though, the 4” size is getting a bit too small for 2018 usage. At it’s core the iPhone 5C has alot of cutting edge technology… for 2012. Internally, the iPhone 5C is just an iPhone 5 with a bigger battery. It features the same A6 processor and 1GB of ram, and also runs the same version of iOS. Since the iPhone 5C’s a6 processor is just 32bit, the latest version of iOS available for this phone is 2016’s iOS 10. That’s not an issue for now, but in the coming years developers will stop porting their apps to 32bit devices, leaving this phone, and millions like it, an app devoid feature phone. For the foreseeable future though, any app you’d want to use is still supported, and the phone handles modern workloads quite well. Daily use apps like discord, twitter, instagram, work fine, assuming you can get used to the lack of screen real estate. ~Send Me Stuff~ PO BOX #1812 Woodinville, Washington 98072 ~Songs Used~ Home - Hold Your Breath henc - coffee break Wild Mfo - Come On Mfos Nook - Snooze button ~Support Me~ Patreon: / 32megabytes Paypal Donation: https://www.paypal.me/haydenquinn ~Contact Me~ Discord: / discord Instagram: / hayden.visuals Twitter: / haydentquinn Steam: http://goo.gl/GcwDVY Steam Group: http://goo.gl/tw8RSE ~Camera Equipment~ Main Camera: Canon EOS 5D Mark IV Secondary: Panasonic G7, GoPro Hero 5 Black, iPhone 7+ Main Microphone: Rode VideoMic Secondary Mic: Audio-Technica ATR 2500 Lighting: LimoStudio 700W Softbox Kit ~Computer Specs~ CPU: Intel i7 6700k GPU: GTX 1080ti 11gb RAM: 32GB 2400MHZ DDR4 HDD: 4TB SSD: 110GB SSD: 250GB OS: Windows 10 *Disclaimer: All content in this video is copyright of 32bit media.
