It’s the last week before Christmas and it’s time to prepare. So time for the last food shop, last minute decorating and visit to the garden centre. Farm chores don’t rest for Christmas so must be done. And we decided very last minute to go to the world famous Charles Dickens Festival in our neighbouring city Deventer. It attracts hundreds of thousands of people over one weekend so it’s always super busy (be aware of that if you decide to visit next year) but it is such a festive and cosy atmosphere across the oldest part of the city completely changed to fit the Charles Dickens era. (One tip!
