#housedesign #homeandgarden #houseandgarden Araucária Residence is located in the central region of Guaporé, Rio Grande do Sul, near a green area. The landowner desired a house that exudes warmth and a sense of belonging, naturally integrating with its surroundings. The project drew inspiration from natural elements, such as the sloping terrain, sunlight, climate changes, ventilation, views, and respect for the environment. The house is designed with a ground floor that connects the interior with the exterior. The front facade, in an "L" shape, is made from locally selected and hand-cut stones, serving as a visible external boundary. The house features double-walled structures to prevent thermal fluctuations. The entrance leads to an internal garden, which separates the social and private areas. The absence of walls on the property makes the sidewalk appear wider and enhances the natural space. Windows in the house are strategically positioned to face the surrounding natural landscapes, such as the forest and the iconic Araucaria tree. A green roof enhances the feeling of flow with the landscape, blending the house with the natural forest. Replanting trees from neighboring cleared land further supports this integration. The house creates a strong connection between the interior and exterior through the internal garden and strategically placed voids in the ceilings that provide light and air circulation. Views from within the house are oriented towards natural landscapes, such as the windows in the bathrooms facing the forest and the main window in the dining room overlooking the Araucaria tree on the street. Araucária Residence is not just a building but a work of art that represents the perfect integration of the house's structure with the surrounding natural environment.
