Lake Iseo is the fourth largest lake in the region of Lombardy in northern Italy and is located near the cities of Brescia and Bergamo Iseo Lake offers a spectacular setting: the area around is a natural amphitheater bounded by the ridges of the mountains. In the lake you can practice swimming, boating, windsurfing, sailing, underwater and surface fishing. Olives and woods of chestnut trees, vineyards and orchards, beaches interrupted by overhanging cliffs and spurs of rock characterize the two shores. Nearby, you can taste the excellent local olive oil and the baked tench; it is posssible to organize walks, to practice skiing and visit the cellars of Franciacorta, the famous rock engravings of Valcamonica and the natural pyramids of Zone. Iseo Lake is a little less than an hour's drive from Milan, Brescia and from the Orio al Serio airoport (Milan Bergamo).
