Treatment depends on tumor type, size, number, and location. Metastases: Single lesion → surgery is often best. Multiple lesions → consider radiosurgery (Gamma Knife/CyberKnife). Small surface meningiomas / small gliomas or lesions in eloquent cortex (motor strip, speech area) where open surgery risks deficits → radiosurgery can be used. Brainstem glioma: usually not surgical; treated with radiation. Medicines: limited role overall. Key exception: prolactinoma (anterior pituitary) often responds well to cabergoline. Chemo/Immunotherapy: mainly for malignant/metastatic tumors; in primary brain tumors, treatment is guided by biopsy first. Topics Covered : Overview: factors that choose the treatment Single vs multiple brain metastases When radiosurgery is preferred (size/site/eloquence) Brainstem glioma: why radiation, not surgery Medicines: where they help (prolactinoma/cabergoline) Chemo & immunotherapy: role and biopsy-first for primaries ___________________________________________________________ Dr. Raghvendra Ramdasi - Neurosurgery Medical qualifications: MBBS, MS, M Ch (Neurosurgery) FAIS (Fellow of Association of Indian Surgeons) FIMSA (Fellow of International Medical Sciences Academy) FESBS (Fellow in Endoscopic transnasal skull base surgery)(Naples, Italy) Years of experience: 14 years ___________________________________________________________ Contact Info :- +918828833911 Email : contact@brainandspinesurgeries -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [brain metastases treatment, radiosurgery Gamma Knife CyberKnife, meningioma glioma eloquent cortex, brainstem glioma radiation, prolactinoma cabergoline, chemo immunotherapy brain tumors] #Neurosurgery #BrainTumor #Radiosurgery #GammaKnife #CyberKnife #Metastases #Meningioma #Glioma #BrainstemGlioma #Prolactinoma
