The flower is 5cm-8cm (1.9”-3.1”) across with 5 sepals and 5 petals, the petals are green on the outside and red inside. One of the petals can have a white - yellowish colour with red spots and streaks. Fruit: Long, wide, flattened legume 30cm-45cm (13.7”-17.7”) length x 5cm (1.9") width, pendulous, green ripening to brown; splitting open when mature to reveal numerous seeds, up to 2cm (0.78”) length, yellow - brown, oblong - ovoid.
