We had electrical issues in the past when our AC kicked on at a campground with less than optimal power. You can have similar issues when running off a generator. That’s when we started looking into the Soft Start. In this video, Ryan shows how to install the Soft Start, which will decrease the initial kick coming from the AC once it’s turned on. You’ll be able to plug into a 15 or 20-amp household outlet or a smaller generator and still run your AC. A 15,000 BTU AC is now capable of running on a 2,000-watt generator. As with any install, please carefully follow the manufacturer’s instructions and safety guidelines.
