🚙 Drive America’s Highways for 82 miles east along U.S. Route 160 from Tuba City to Kayenta, Arizona — a desert highway lined with mesas, buttes, and quiet Navajo Nation communities. The journey begins in Tuba City, where U.S. 160 officially starts at its junction with U.S. 89. Almost immediately, the road passes the intersection with Arizona State Route 264 before curving northeast across the high desert plateau. This part of the drive carries travelers through the Navajo Nation, with long stretches of open roadway framed by red rock formations and distant mesas that set the tone for the entire route. Continuing east, U.S. 160 passes through the community of Tonalea and shortly after intersects with Arizona State Route 98 — a junction known for its convenience stop, where travelers can fuel up before venturing further into the desert. Beyond this point, the landscape shifts slightly with hints of old mining activity before reaching Tsegi, a small settlement surrounded by sandstone cliffs. The road here is a reminder of both the human and natural history that shaped this corridor. The final approach to Kayenta is quieter and more open, with flat desert land stretching to the horizon, broken only by mesas rising in the distance. The drive concludes near the junction with U.S. 163, the highway that famously leads north toward Monument Valley. While the last few miles are subdued, the wide skies and subtle changes in the desert scenery capture the character of northeastern Arizona’s highways. --- 🎵 Music: https://interstate411.us/music/az-us1... ------------- ❤ If you liked this video, please help us out and click the share button to share it with all your friends. 📹 Subscribe here (it's free!) http://i411.cf/ji8gr ✉ Get notified by email of new videos: http://i411.cf/sxkda 💵 Help us make better highway videos for you by Adopting a Route Today at http://i411.cf/adopt Follow us: Website: https://interstate411.us Facebook: https://tinyurl.com/i411fb
