Check Out the Video Tour of Ave Maria Grotto located in Cullman, Alabama on the grounds of St. Bernard Abby. A must see if you are passing through or visiting the area, it is off the interstate path between Birminghan and Huntsville. The amazing religious miniature structures are handiwork of Brother Joseph Zoetl, OSB. There are 125 miniatures structures made from discarded glass, shells, various stones, concrete, pieces of broken plates and pottery and concrete. There is a small gift shop where you can buy souvenirs, bread and cookies. There is a $10 entrance fee to view/walk-through to the Grotto area, there is a discount for active/ retired military, first responders and for kids. The path is downhill and uphill but has a railing and is wide enough for wheelchair to pass, definitely a handicap accessible. Ave maria Grotto is not just only a "religious thing", this is also a great stop for anyone interested in religion, architecture and art. Everyone in the office and shop are friendly and helpful, the shop is well organized and clean including the bathroom, parking is free. #avemariagrotto #religiousminiaturestructures #cullmanalabama Thank you for taking the time to check our channel and watch the videos.
