Fun fact: I encountered this Howard Philips Lovecraft story in "Shadows over Loathing" before I actually read the story in text form. I really recommend "Shadows over Loathing." It's by the Kingdom of Loathing people, who did another point and click RPG called West of Loathing, but you can play Shadows over Loathing without playing the other two. This is the first appearance of Kingsport in a Lovecraft story, and some say it's the first appearance of a "Lovecraft country" location. This reminds me of the movie "Don't Breathe." I haven't seen it, but the trailer clearly shows it's also about thieves who mess with the wrong old man. I am still behind on blogs! My apologies. I am also behind on recordings.
