One area of these headphones that will wear out after several years of hard use is the earpads and the foam that covers the inside of the earcup. Fortunately Beyer have made replacing them a fairly simple exercise, although it does involve a hairdryer! Watch the video to see how it's done. I have owned this particular pair of DT770s for over ten years and have replaced the headband twice and the earcups three times. They are truly built to last!
