Training School: Unearthing Traces of European Conflicts: Materiality, Memory, & Technology

From 26 to 28 September 2023, Institute of Heritage Sciences of the Spanish National Research Council (INCIPIT-CSIC) hosted this training school in Santiago de Compostela. “Unearthing Traces of European Conflicts: Materiality, Memory & Technology” is part of the European COST Action network TRACTS “Trace as a research agenda for climate change, technology studies, and social justice”. For three days, four trainers and 21 students coming from diverse countries around the world gathered to analyse the material traces of conflict and their impact in the present through the conceptual lens of different disciplines: Archaeology, Forensic Sciences, Social Anthropology and Memory Studies.
