As a pathologist assistant, when dissecting pathology specimens you must create a gross description to describe what you see. This video will show you how to use the paragraph system, also known as the Raymond paragraph system, to format your gross reports in a standardized, clear and concise manner that's easy for you to implement and, more importantly, easy for a pathologist to read. The techniques I cover in this video are based on a paper called Raymond's Paragraph System which can be found here https://doi.org/10.5858/133.2.298. This system focuses on breaking your report into 5 separate elements which are split into standardized paragraphs instead of the traditional approach in which all the information is included in one large paragraph. Give the technique a try and see how it works for you! ❤️ If you find my content helpful, become a channel member - / @canadianpathassistant9066 0:00 Intro 0:47 What is the Raymond Paragraph System? 1:06 1st paragraph (Specimen Contents) 2:30 2nd paragraph (Primary pathology) 3:28 3rd paragraph (Secondary Pathology) 4:02 4th paragraph (Inking) 4:21 5th paragraph (Blocking) 5:11 Extra blocking tip 5:53 Challenges with using this system 7:12 Extra resources WHO AM I: I'm a full time Pathologists' Assistant working in western Canada.
